Crown Bar, Belfast
Mark generously drove us up to Belfast the other day so I have no artwork to post for now. Yeah, we spent the day sightseeing instead of working.
I have more images, but I just thought I would share the Crown Bar with you. The Crown was apparently bombed many times during the most violent period in Belfast. Mark guessed it was because of the name since the name conjured up images of the Queen.
And, since you have to have a pint of Guinness when you are in Ireland...
I was trying to remember if a Guinness really did taste better when I had a few after a tour of the Guinness Brewery last time I was in Ireland. Sure enough, it was nice and smooth. Look for the clover design drawn into the foam on top. Ehhhhxcellent.
It was pretty crowded so I didn't take many images. (Always plenty of images online, right?)
Still, here is one of the few images that shows Mark clowning around. Good 'ol Mark. I am starting to wonder about him. I think his incredible poetry talent masks a cheeky interior, which possibly only comes out around Americans. Or maybe it is just me.
Check out the web site for the Crown Bar if you'd like to see more.

Looks like perfection! Have one for me :)
Tim, this seems to be way too comfortable for you... Beer should be drunk, not inhaled... But, you seem to be able to handle either...
all the best from Yokohama!
Chris
PS: when you coming here, man?
Diane - It was in honor of all my peeps, you included! But, I'll have another, since you mentioned it ;)
Chris! I really want to get back to Japan. I am still in Ireland, as you can see, and still have Paris and London in front of me. I will try and get back to you on Japan when I get back at the end of September. I have to figure out a way to make that happen
